Painting Needlepoint Canvases

Painting needlepoint canvases requires great precision and patience.

Sorry - due to the Search Engines - and others - hotlinking directly to our images - and proliferating Copyright Infringements - we are removing all large images from these blogspots. Please visit -  JAN VOICH DESIGNS - to view the large images.

We use natural pigments - ground them into powder - then add natural adhesives.

After the canvases are dry - we then spray a protective layer to polymerize the paint and canvases to guarantee centuries of endurance.

A very fine display of photographs - may be seen at the Royal School of Needlework website - which shows the entire designing process - from drawing the design - to painting the Needlepoint Canvas.

Spend some time on this site - it is absolutely fantastic.
